If you faced the following error on adding a new credential for RV2Factor account:

        “Failed to add Symantec VIP Credential : VSMTxxxxxxxx to Symantec database : Operation not allowed in current state of credential.”

It might be one from these reasons:

        1. This Credential ID was locked earlier.

        2. Several attempts failed of the incorrect Credential ID entering.

        3. Long time the VIP Access in your device is not connected to the internet.

        4. Attempts failed from entering the Security Code of the different Credential ID.

The solution of this issue:

        1. Try to Reset VIP Access of your device and try again.

Credential Device -> VIP Access -> Settings -> Reset VIP Access.

If this doesn’t work, please do the solution number 2.

        2. Report the error to your hosting provider with your Credential ID provided to them. They will check it for you.
